The purpose of the SJA Student Council is to help share student ideas, interests and concerns with our teachers and principal.  The Student Council Board is made up of elected Class Representatives from grades three through eight.  In addition, an Executive Board is formed from a school election.  This Board consists of a President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary and Commissioner of Publicity.  
The Student Council hosts a variety of events throughout the school year.  These activities include Annex Socials, an afternoon movie showing for students in the younger grades and a Game Night. The day before Easter break, Student Council members treat the pre-k students to an Easter Egg Hunt.  Most anticipated is a week long Spirit Week full of dressing up in fun themes, door decorating and friendly competitions.
