At Saint John the Apostle School, students are taught to follow the Golden Rule in their daily life. Emphasis is placed on service for others and to think of themselves as global citizens. In the fourth grade, students focus on learning the ten commandments and the beatitudes. The fifth grade focus is on the sacraments. Both grade levels participate in the Choose to Be Nice Social Emotional Learning program. Instruction follows the Liturgical Year with special attention to daily prayer. Students in both grades have the opportunity to lead a Mass on First Friday, as well as lead an Advent Service at Christmas and a Stations of the Cross Service during Lent.
