Yes, we are currently in our 30th year of accreditation by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary Schools Commission. We were one of the first elementary schools in the Archdiocese of Newark to be awarded this honor.
School is in session from 8:00 am until 2:30 pm. On scheduled half days dismissal is noon.
The average class size is 21 students. Most grades have two classes.
We are very proud of the stability of our faculty with an average of 12 years. As a result, our Map Growth standardized test scores are well above average. We are a high performing Blue Ribbon school because of our test scores.
Parents interested in transferring a child will first meet with the principal. Copies of the student's academic records from the current school will be reviewed. A placement test might be required.
We welcome students of all faiths. Non-Catholic families who enroll their children in our school appreciate the Catholic faith, values, and prayer taught at the school. They value the atmosphere it provides for their children.
Our classrooms are heterogeneously mixed except our Middle School Math and Science programs. In these areas, the programs are geared to challenge the students on their level. Our reading series supports differentiated Instruction focusing on individual reading and language arts strengths and needs. We also offer art, music, computer instruction, Spanish, health, and physical education.
