Dear Parents,


Here it is May already - one of the busiest months of the year.


The virtue for the month is "Charity" taken from the Eucharistic Prayer II "Make us to grow in love."


Congratulations to our 8th graders who received the Sacrament of Confirmation on Saturday, April 26th from Bishop Arias.


Congratulations to our second graders who will receive the sacrament of the Holy Eucharist for the first time on Sunday,  May 18th.


Congratulations to Emily L., Grade 8, who received distinction in the Reading section of the John Hopkins SAT-I test and to David S. who received distinction in both Reading and Mathematics.  These students are invited to attend the State Award of Talent at Montclair State University on May 10th.


Congratulations to Leah C., Grade 2, Sophia K., Grade 3, Nicholas B. and  Ryan L., Grade 4 and Lexie S., Grade 5 who won awards for the Linden Sponsored 2008 Earth Day Poster Contest.


Congratulations to Brian F. and Nicholas P. who placed fourth, Annie C. and Emily L. who placed third and Scottfrancis B.  and Noah B. who placed first in the Forensics Duo Interpretative held at St. Theresa's, Kenilworth.

Interim Reports will go home May 1st.  Please sign yellow sheet and return to your child's homeroom teacher.


Due to the number of students participating in our instrumental music program we will have two concerts - one on

April 29th and the other on May 6th at 7:45pm in the Sister Donna Marie O'Brien auditorium.  All are invited to attend.


Flynn and O'Hara, our uniform company, will be here on May 19th from 9:00am - 1:00pm to measure students for next year in grades K-7 for uniforms.  Please make sure you return your order form and deposit to school by May 19th.


Please join us for our May Crowning on May 29th at 1:30pm to honor our Blessed Mother.


The final PFG General meeting will be on May 22nd.  The election of officers will take place at this meeting and test results will be given out.


Field Day will take place on May 21st, rain date of May 22nd.  All parents in attendance will need to have a background check.  If you have not had one, please request forms from the office.  Students in grades K-2 will be in the park until 12:00 and then return to school for lunch and the rest of the afternoon.  Students in grades 3-8 will stay in the park all day.  If you are attending, please help your child's classroom teacher with the planned activities.


You will be receiving an update regarding your Food Certificate Program and other financial commitments.  Please make sure your fees are paid by June 1st.  No report cards will be given or transfers issued until all financial obligations are fulfilled.
